Sanctuary for Souls Massage Therapies
At Sanctuary for Souls we practice various different types of massage including Arom atherapy Massage, Therapeutic Massage and Hot Stone Therapy.
Massage
therapy is recognised as one of the oldest methods of physical medicine
known to man. Massage therapy is simply a system that utilises
manipulation to aid relaxation of the mind, body and spirit. The basic
goal of massage therapy is to help the body heal itself and to increase
health and well-being.
Therapeutic Massage Choose from a 30, 60 or 90 minute massage.
 After
many years in the industry, our practitioner has developed her own
style of massage. Vicky uses several techniques that she has picked up
from her trainings around the world and particularly Hawaii.
These techniques can equally be used for relaxation or a deep tissue massage.
Vicky uses many 'tools' within her massages, ranging from essential oils to hot stones. She combines
the wonderful healing powers of these stones and crystals, with the
nurturing touch of heat, to soothe aching muscles. Our practitioner
generally uses hot stones as a tool to nurture the muscles after a deep
massage, as they help to ease that bruised feeling one can get after a
particularly deep treatment.

Aromatherapy Massage This
specialised massage technique is designed to focus on areas where oils
are more readily absorbed. It incorporates acupressure, lymphatic
drainage and facial massage. Essential oils (the life force of the
plant) can be used to aid the physical, emotional or spiritual healing process.
We
do not use premade, blended mixes that are suitable for anyone. Each
massage is customised for the individual. Our qualified Aromatherapist
will prescribe an essential oil mix that is specific to you.
Our
Aromatherapy Facial Treatment may include a cleanse followed by a
massage of the scalp, face, neck, decolletage and a clay mask. Whilst
the mask is setting choose from an arm and hand massage, or a foot and
leg massage. The choice is yours....

on which massage therapy you have choosen, the length of the
consultation will vary. For essential oils to be prescribed safely in
an Aromatherapy massage, a more detailed consultation will needed.
Each
of the massages include the glutei (buttocks), so underwear will need
to be pulled down for access. Once the area has been massaged and no
further treatment is needed, the underwear will be readjusted. Towels
are used to ensure that the areas of the body not being massaged are
covered or draped.
