Benefit #1 - 20% More Juice
Make sure the tomatoes aren't over ripe, otherwise you'll just get mush in Oscar.
Cut the tomatoes into quarters and the beetroot and capsicum into pieces small enough to fit through the guide/feeder.
The carrots, cucumber and celery may not need slicing at all, if they do it will only be in width, as the length won't matter.

Benefit #2 - Minimal to NO Wastage...
Take the pulp and mix into a shephard's pie or spag bol, in fact any pie, casserole or sauce dish.
Some may prefer to keep the apple pulp seperate if using this in a savoury dish, but personally I'm not bothered.
The apple pulp could be mixed into the juice itself, a porridge, some yoghurt, etc...
Otherwise, compost bins and worm farms are a great investment, especially if you are quite the gardener and have your own vegie patch happening at home.
If you don't have a garden or space to grow vegies, maybe look at joining a community garden.
